University" in Italy, have arrived in Valencia, to
offer, not only their delicious recipes to
thousands of beachgoers as they swelter under a

off Friday with a photo call in which the 16
Masters threw their chef hats in the air to
celebrate the launch of the programme, which is as
The ice-cream booths open
to the public at 01:00 p.m. and close at midnight
Tickets cost 5 Euro for 3 tubs that are filled with
the ice-cream of your choice.
At 02:30 p.m., 05:00 p.m.,
07:30 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. 90 minutes mini-courses
for 50 people, on how to make ice-cream, are
offered by the "Carpigiani Gelato University"
experts, with a talk on how to start your own
ice-cream business, taking into account that in
Spain there are 2,500 ice-cream parlours as opposed
to 37,000 in Italy.
At 04:00 p.m. a total of
50 children between the ages of 04 and 10, are
taken on a 45 minutes journey in time, in the
didactic laboratory of the "Gelato
From 04:00 p.m. to 07:00
p.m. at the MEC3 stand, children are invited to
play with Hello Kitty, Cookies, and their friends,
and have a souvenir photo taken with a special

Pixel Passion", presented by Angelo Corvitto,
Master Ice-cream Maker, Valentina Righi, vice
chairperson of the "Bruto e Poerio Carpigiani"
Foundation, and Belen Parra, a journalist from
Pastry Revolution (Montagud).
04:30 p.m. at the MEC3
Stand, the "Tonda Challenge by IFI" in which
ice-cream chefs from the Iberian Peninsula will
compete, will be held.
06:30 p.m. the official
inauguration ceremony of the Iberian Peninsula
stage of the "Gelato World Tour", will take
place,attended by the main sponsors and politicians
from Valencia City Hall.
04:30 at the MEC3 Stand,
the Iberian Peninsula Competition "Tonda Challenge
by IFI" to elect the best ice-cream maker, will
10:00 a.m. a panel
of judges will choose the best flavour of the
competition "The World's Best Gelato".
01:30 p.m. A workshop of
Gastronomic Gelato: future tendencies conducted by
Master Ice-cream maker Fernando Saenz, presented by
Javi Antoja, a journalist from Apicus
02:30 the competition
"Tonda Challenge by IFI" to elect the best
ice-cream chef in the Iberian Peninsula will
continua at the MEC3 Stand.
05:00 p.m. Presentation of
the Iberian Peninsula awards for the "World's Best
Gelato" and the "Tonda Challenge by IFI" to the
winners. The ceremony will be hosted by Master
Ice-cream Chef Angelo Corvitto, and Jose L.
Gisbert, chairman of the National Ice-cream Makers
Association - A.H.N.C.E.A., and will be attended by
members of the technical jury, the organisers of
the "Gelato World Tour", sponsors, and
representatives from Valencia City Hall.
